PlayPalz ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Syncware Technologies. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application and website (collectively, the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us, information collected automatically, and information from third-party services.
Account Information:
- Name, email address, username, and password when you create an account
- Profile information such as display name, bio, avatar image, and gaming preferences
- Date of birth (for age verification purposes)
- Payment information processed securely through Stripe (we do not store full card numbers)
Usage Information:
- App interactions, features used, content viewed, and time spent on the Service
- Device identifiers, IP address, operating system, and browser type
- Log data including access times, pages viewed, and referring URLs
- Push notification tokens (used only to send you notifications you have opted into)
Content You Create:
- Posts, clips, and messages you publish on the platform
- Livestream video and audio content (processed via Mux)
- Images and videos uploaded to your profile (stored on AWS S3)
Device Permissions:
- Camera and microphone access (required for livestreaming; requested only when you initiate a stream)
- Photo library access (required for uploading profile images or clips; requested only when you upload)
- Notification permissions (optional; used to notify you of activity on your account)
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
- Process transactions and send related information (receipts, billing notices)
- Send push notifications about account activity, followers, and platform updates (you may opt out at any time)
- Personalize your experience — recommend creators, games, and content relevant to your interests
- Detect and prevent fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- Respond to your comments, questions, and support requests
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
- Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services that process data on our behalf, subject to confidentiality obligations (see Section 4)
- Public Profile: Your username, display name, avatar, and public posts are visible to other users and, depending on your privacy settings, to the public
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required by law or in response to valid legal process
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate PlayPalz:
- Mux — Video transcoding, streaming, and delivery. Your livestream and clip video data is processed by Mux. See Mux Privacy Policy.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS S3) — Secure cloud storage for images and media files uploaded to the platform.
- Stripe — Payment processing for subscriptions and session bookings. Card details are handled directly by Stripe and are never stored on our servers. See Stripe Privacy Policy.
- LiveKit — Real-time audio/video infrastructure for live sessions and coaching calls.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us at the address below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days, subject to legal retention obligations.
6. Children's Privacy
PlayPalz is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will promptly delete that information. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately.
7. Security
We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest, and access controls limiting who can access your data within our organization. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights and Choices
- Access and Correction: You may access and update your account information at any time through the app settings
- Notifications: You may opt out of push notifications through your device settings at any time
- Account Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us
- California Residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion, and opt out of sale (we do not sell your data)
- EU/EEA Residents (GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing of, and port your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, sending you an in-app notification or email. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
